(Senior) Machine Learning/AI Software Engineer
As a key member of our Automation & Software organization, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions for glass processing machinery. Your work will directly contribute to the development of innovative products and services that leverage AI to solve complex problems and enhance user experiences.
You will be working in a cross-functional setup and cooperate with other software engineers and quality assurance engineers, as well as, with various internal stakeholders. As a Software Engineer, you ensure agreed content and quality are successfully delivered on time and cost. Moreover, you help your team to deliver on its goals by solving complex real-world engineering problems in your daily work. You can communicate effectively when analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues together with other developers and stakeholders.
This is what your work is about:
- Create and implement ML/AI algorithms to solve specific business problems
- Collect, clean, and preprocess data for model training
- Train and fine-tune ML models for optimal performance
- Optimize models for scalability and efficiency
- Stay updated on AI/ML advancements and apply them
- Rigorously test and validate models
- Ensure continued functionality of our application during maintenance and deployment of software
This is your preferred background:
- Proven experience in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and AI solutions. Experience with deep learning, neural networks, and natural language processing is a plus
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Solid knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Strong communication skills in English to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- MSc. or BSc. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
